Biography
Shirley Majors was born on July 13th 1956 to the late Lillie F. Jones and John Majors in Halifax, Virgina. Affectionately known as “Shirl” to friends and family, she was the oldest of three siblings. She attended Prospect Heights High School in Brooklyn, New York. In 1977 she gave birth to her one and only child, Tibrenda Majors. Shirley was married in 1980 to Joseph Mack and became widowed in 2008. She worked as a kitchen cook for many years. It was a job she enjoyed, feeding people a meal prepared with love. She always had a smile and joke for everyone, even if she was having a bad day.
She was a quiet, soft spoken, friendly, and extremely sweet person. She had a big heart, and would help anyone in need and give them the shirt off her back if she could. She had a laugh that you could pick out in a crowded room. She had an enormous sense of humor, loved to joke around, and was somewhat of a practical joker. Shirley was a dedicated mother and grandmother, her daughter and grandchildren were her world.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory: (Daughter) Tibrenda Majors, (Grand Children) Darren Majors and Kenya Powell, (Step Father) Jose Rosa, (Siblings) Brenda Majors and Gregory Llewellyn, (Nieces) Danielle Green and Dominque Green, (Step Children) Elaine Mack, Brenda Mack, Letoya Mack, Keisha Mack, and Danilo Mack, (Aunts) Bessie Wyatt, Ruth Merrick, Rebecca Dingles, Louise Thomalison, and Joe Jones, (Cousins) Denise Daniels, Veronica Merrick, Ruth Merrick, Petey Wyatt, Paulett Wyatt, and Perry Wyatt and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
A special appreciation goes to Elaine Mack for being there in the family time of need.
