Life Legacy
Andrew George Clarke was born on June 1, 1968 in Kingston, Jamaica to his beloved mother Edna May Gordon and father Hector George Clarke. On Tuesday February 12, 2013 our Lord and Savior called home Andrew to reside with the Angels in Heaven. Although we are saddened that he is no longer with us, he will always be in our hearts.
Andrew was a devoted husband to Caroline, wonderful father to daughter Danneil and sons David and Scott (Scotty). Andrew spent his earlier years in Jamaica where he attended St. Aloysius Primary School and Jamaica College (JC) where he captained the Schools Challenge Quiz team. After graduation Andrew worked at Jamaica Income Tax Department, CIBC Bank, and Food for the Poor before embarking on a career in the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
Andrew met and married his devoted and loving wife Caroline and later migrated to the United States with his family and settled in Brooklyn, New York. He went back to school while raising a young family and earned an Associate Degree in Human Services from Borough of Manhattan Community College, where he was a Senator in the Student Government. He later completed his Bachelor of Arts and Masters Degree in Social Work from York College and Adephi University respectively. He was then employed at Visiting Nurses of New York as a Social Worker.
Andrew was an avid football fan and player, always updated with the latest information in the football world. Andrew at times accompanied his family to The Good Hope Baptist Church, where he was a willing supporter of the many fund raising activities that were undertaken.
He will be sadly missed by sisters Jennifer Campbell (Paul), Shelly Coke-Mckay (Alfred) and Ventrice Clarke, brothers Patrick Montague (Joy), Robert Clarke Sr. (Juliet). He also left behind many nieces and nephews, and other close friends and family who loved him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents Edna May Gordon and Hector George Clarke, Sister Pamela Vassel and brother Garth Clarke (Denny).
