Life Legacy

Valisca Jeremiah née Lynch was born one sacred morning on the thirteenth day of October, 1985 on the Island of Trinidad and
Tobago. The heavens rejoiced and the angels sung as she graced her mother Evangelist Scott and Eric Lynch with her esteemed presence. She grew up in the village of Morvant, Port of Spain, Trinidad. Many of her childhood days were spent at her secret playing spot, at a canal not too far from the house where she grew up. She loved to jump back and forth and side to side, over that canal-perfecting her skill. She
enjoyed making up scenarios and always found new ways to have fun.

Valisca attended Sacred Heart Girls Roman Catholic School and made her parents proud when she worked her way to Morvant Lavantille Secondary School. Her classmates remember her as being talkative, a little bit spoiled, short tempered, but respectful, adventurous and
curious. More than anything she was known for her love of animals. Her childhood dream was to become a veterinarian. She had just about every animal you could think about as a pet including, fish, hamsters, a rabbit, a lizard, a chicken, even a roach, yes a roach, which she kept in a bottle and fed it crackers. Although her dream of becoming a
veterinarian was not realized, her compassion for and dedication to the preservation and well being of animals were phenomenal. Valisca
migrated to the US in 2002. She attended the Prospect Heights High School in Brooklyn. Before her death, Valisca worked with Swiss Port at J. F. K. international airport. There she made many friends who loved and cared for her dearly.

Her life was like a collage; a beautiful picture majestically put together by the hands of the almighty. This amazing life came to an end too soon. However, we know that God is in control and although she is not with us, her life is in his hands. Like the Apostle Paul, we rejoice today knowing, that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!

Valisca leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband Mareshah Jeremiah; parents-Evangelist Scott and Eric Lynch;
Stepfather-Maceo Scott; grandmother-Virgina Pascall; parents in law- Oscar and Glenna Jeremiah; sister-Lystra McCarthy; one brother in law, two sisters in law, seven aunts, two nieces, two nephews, five
uncles, many cousins, exceptional friends Tristan Mundy, Mike, Ayana Worrel, Sharon Figareo and many many many other loving family and friends.
Although Valisca was young, she faced many challenges, obstacles and temptations, all of which she successfully overcame. Valisca was very ambitious, possessed indomitable courage and once she set her mind on accomplishing a task, nothing could stop her from succeeding.

“Vee” as she was lovingly called by her family and close friends, made many mistakes and bad decisions. She chose paths that many times resulted in her having regrets. However, I stand here today thanking God that Valisca came to the realization that change was necessary. She needed to free herself from every temptation that was lurking. In 2009 Valisca gave her heart to the Lord and was baptized. Glory to God! She was able to “press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14). The freedom she found in Christ resulted in renewed confidence, happiness and enthusiasm.

When “Vee” came into my life, I was always grateful to be in her presence. She was confident, strong, caring, loving, ambitious, honest, loyal and very funny. Valisca was the best thing that happened to me in my twenty-three years of living. The happiest day of my life was June 12, 2010 when the most beautiful woman I have ever laid my eyes upon became my wife. I always told her she was my queen and my empress and now the Lord has made her my guardian angel. Because I knew she was special from the first day I met her, I treated her with the dignity and respect she truly deserved. She made me a better person. She always saw and brought out the best in me, even when I doubted myself. We always told each other how strong our love was towards the other and promised that not even death could break our bond. Today Valisca honey, I say to you I love you, when you were alive, and even now that you’re gone. I want you also to remember that your mom, dad, Maceo, sister and your other family and friends love you as well. Although you are no longer with us in body, your spirit will continue to be with us. You will never be forgotten! I know that heaven is rejoicing because another angel has come home.
