Biography
Jean Valerie Stanley, fondly known as “moms” departed this life on Saturday, July 4th 2010. She was born in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies to the proud parents Evarard And Iris George on January 26th 1933.
Moms met and married her beloved husband Felix Emmanuel Stanley and from this union they had three children, unfortunately she was a widowed.
She left her country and traveled to the United States in 1969. Upon her arrival in America she gained employment as a home attendant. While working, she attended Nursing School in the late 1970’s and became a Certified Nurse’s Aide. Moms became involved in an organization to raise money for worthy causes, especially to benefit the catholic charity. After working numerous years with the catholic charity, she retired in 2008. She spent her retirement years caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Moms was a loving and caring person, very strong and humble woman. She exhibited her love and strength in all that she did. Moms was a mother and father to all of her children after the death of her husband. She battled the infirmities of life and lost her battle at the age of 77.
She is survived by her children Ann-Marie, Anthony and Andrew; brother Lewis of Trinidad; grandchildren Godwin, Brandon, Emmanuel and Emily; great granddaughter Tshauna; daughter in law Yoland and numerous family and friends.
